Abstract
The intellectual property system is “a system designed to protect the intellectual achievements of the human race”, Intellectual property plays an important role in economic and social progress, because it "sharpened the fire of genius with the spark of interest." It is generally accepted that intellectual property is an umbrella term that includes creations of thought and commercial reputation, as conferred in business, which can be protected by law.
Furthermore, the laws protecting the intellectual property rights in Egypt are merely new laws that were established for the first time in Egypt 2002 by the Egyptian parliament.
In 2008 the interest of the Ministry of Justice was to establish economic courts, to issue legislations and judgments protecting and organizing intellectual property rights to keep pace with developments and openness to the outside world.
The demand to protect rights in general and intellectual property rights in particular has become an urgent and necessary matter, in Egypt and special after the aftermath of both 25th of January revolution and 30th of June revolution it became necessarily needed.
